The all-new Vanford is designed to become the most sophisticated reel with a super fast start. Replacing the iconic Stradic Ci4 + , this reel has been equipped with a range of technological enhancements that make Vanford stand out. Still based on the lightweight design of the Ci4 + body, the new MGL rotor makes this reel 48% lighter compared to the standard rotor design. The Micromodule Gear II and Silent Drive transmission is found in the new Vanford and Hagane Gear has been upgraded with extra durability. X-Protect provides a high level of water resistance without sacrificing the lightweight gear and rotation of the rotor. This increases the service life of the roller clutch and Vanford linear roller to IPX8 standard. Casting performance and strength have also been improved with a new long-stroke spool design.
